Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few."

Matthew 9:37

There are many opportunities to aid in God's work.  Please consider joining us in our efforts.

Food for the Hungry
Helping Our Brothers and Sisters in Christ
“For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.”   Matthew 35

In an ongoing effort to both encourage our youth to become more involved in their community, and to help feed the hungry families right here in Chicago, the Church School has a continuing food pantry collection throughout the year.

Please bring your non-perishable canned and boxed food for distribution through Onward Neighborhood House, just a few blocks south of Holy Trinity.  It doesn’t take much, really: just a can of something, a box of spaghetti, a package of ramen. Use your imagination, be creative!

We are so blessed that our children, not to mention ourselves, do not go to bed with hunger pangs and growling stomachs...... but others in this city do.  Won’t you help?

Donations

There are many opportunities to help the parish defray its normal operating expenses. Perhaps you would like to help?

If you would like to sponsor any of the festal icons throughout the year, please contact Matushka Melania for more information.

We use incense during the liturgical services. Not only does this leave a pleasing aroma in the temple, but it also signifies something special is about to happen, or is happening. If you would like to donate towards the incense for the services, please contact either Fr. John or Fr. Deacon Thomas.

Wine is also used for the Eucharist. The wine, representing the Blood of Christ is a vital part of Holy Communion, as well as being used for zapivka (cleansing the palate following the reception of Communion). If you would like to donate toward the wine, please contact either Fr. John or Tony Scott.

Of course, we sometimes have need of “big ticket items” (the plating of chalices, or new liturgical items, icons, etc.). If there is something you would like to donate, please contact Fr. John at your earliest convenience.

Every little bit helps. Won’t you consider donating or sponsoring some of the items mentioned above? It is greatly appreciated!

Donations may be made utilizing the collection basket or by mailing a check to:
